Megyn Kelly: "White Feminism is the New Black"

Former Fox News host, Megyn Kelly, exposed the hell out of Bill O'Reilly this past Monday when her disgraced mentor said that no one had ever complained about his behavior in the workplace. Kelly said she knows for a fact it's not true because she personally had made complaints about his treatment towards women who in the past spoke out against the decades of sexual harassment at FOX News. She had also spoken to network heads about O'Reilly's own sexual harassment history. Also this past week O'Reilly reached a 32 million dollar settlement with just one woman who had gone after him. Kelly said it gives her "no pleasure" to speak against her former employer, "but this must stop. The abuse of women, the shaming of them, the threatening, the retaliation, the silencing of them after the fact -- it has to stop." I agree with Kelly y'all, what a time to be alive. However, I can be against Megyn Kelly and sexual abuse. Kelly is still a disgus...

Harry Styles: Yes, #MenToo

While performing at a charity event the singer, Harry Styles, was assaulted by a deranged fan. As you'll see in the video he was kneeling down in front of a group of girls when one decided to take advantage of the situation and reach for his crotch, Styles quickly pushed her hand away. Though he didn't stop his performance he was obviously shaken by the incident. He avoided that part of the stage for the rest of his show. Although many fans and others alike were quick to get onto social media to denounce this act, there are some who still sought to normalize this attack and imply that it was somehow nothing more than an accident. It's no wonder why men don't speak up when they feel as though they've been assaulted or raped. Society makes male celebrities feel like they are so lucky to have women completely lose it when they see them. Society questions men for "complaining" about "getting ass." If you think sexual assault and rape can on...

#MeToo but, it's really #HimThough because #N*ggasAintSh*t

Alyssa Milano was invited to Good Morning America on Thursday to discuss her #MeToo social media campaign. About a week ago she tweeted, "If you've been sexually harrassed or assaulted write 'me too' as a reply to this tweet." The goal was to show men , everyone, how widespread sexual harassment and abuse is. About 1.4 million women, as of Thursday morning, tweeted out the hashtags along with their own personal stories. Milano added "This is your movement, women. This is your time and if I can be the vessel and hold the bullhorn for you guys to shout as loud as humanly possible then I'm honored to do so." I've been struggling with wanting to write a #MeToo and it's not like I don't I have an absurd amount of examples to choose from. Simple things like purposely avoiding the bus stop closer to my home because it was at busy intersection. The gestures and things men would say to me when they drove by literally put the fear of God in m...

I'm Rooting for Everyone Black Because You're Rooting for Everyone White

Black Panther debuted its second trailer a few days ago and I am beyond ready for February 16th. I have, in fact, found my will to go on and make it through the rest of 2017. Let's just say it's been an eventful year. Ryan Coogler and Michael B. Jordan, my future baby daddy,  have already made magic together with Fruitvale Station and Creed. Add Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong'o, and Chadwick Bosman, who's played James Brown, Jackie Robinson, and soon Mr. Thurgood Marshall and we've literally hit the trifecta. When I finally see Black Panther white people will not be allowed to speak to me for the rest of the month. Black History Month 2k18 is about to be so lit I don't see how I'll be able to function as a normal human being. Though I was once very critical of the month because it's 28 days  black history is America's history, when Beyonce´ announced to the world this year she was having twins on the very first day of the month I changed my ...

Trump: "Let's Make Christmas Great Again!"

Donald Trump spoke at the Value Voter's Summit this past weekend after getting his Klan hood dry cleaned.  The Summit was put on by the Family Research Council, a hate group, who are known for their anti-LGBTQ ideals and work to deny their equal rights. The council's president, Tony Perkins, said of Trump, "Values voters have waited eight years for a leader who puts America's mission first and respects the values that made America into a great nation." He added, " President  Trump allied himself with values voters, promising to put an end to the eight years of relentless assault on the Frist Amendment." I'm sorry, but isn't this the same man who's been hyper obsessing over and actively trying to end police brutality protests in the NFL? Trump's keynote speech addressed the "attacks on Judeo-Christian values" seeing that it's the only religion that seems to matter in this country. There he waged a war against those who ...

You Can’t Silence Women If We Silence Ourselves

#WomenBoycottTwitter. Celebrities, Journalists, and Citizens alike decided to do a day-long boycott of Twitter to protest the platform's decision to temporarily suspend the account of actress Rose McGowan. She claims she wasn't able to access her account for 12 hours after she shared her experiences of harassment with Harvey Weinstein. Many Twitter users rallied behind McGowan including Chrissy Teagan and Jessica Chastain. Donald Trump is allowed to use the platform to attack individuals like Jemele Hill and basically, try to start nuclear wars with North Korea but never once has it been against their "policies." Twitter's attempt to silence McGowan is just another way our society tries to belittle us. It was an attempt to strip us of our voice and our right to speak out any way we see fit. To be truthful, this is normally something that I would probably have ignored because I prefer to beat people down with my words, but "silence is an argumen...

Donna Karen's New Line Inspired by the Handmaid's Tale Debuts this Spring

Recently, Harvey Weinstein has had a slew of sexual harassment and abuse allegations brought against him. The list of women goes back for decades and includes the names of established actresses like Gwyneth Paltrow and Angelina Jolie. In an article written by Ronan Farrow of The New Yorker,  he describes the elaborate coverups that took place at Weinstein’s company by various assistants and executives. This allowed him to operate for so long without any real backlash (for the full story click here ). Donna Karen gave some revolting insight as to why Weinstein wasn't really at fault. When asked about the allegations made against Weinstein, Karen said "to see it here in our own country is very difficult, but I also think how do we display ourselves? How do we present ourselves as women? What are we asking? Are we asking for it by presenting all the sensuality and all the sexuality." Donna Karen is a woman's fashion designer so by this logic I hope to see a line...

Donald Trump, Roger Goodell, Jemele Hill, and Richard Spencer All Walk into a Bar...

In the same week that white nationalists took back to the streets in Charlottesville, Donald Trump only seems to care to about ESPN ratings and NFL protests. Trump has literally said nothing about the events that happened in Charlottesville a few days ago while the city still mourns the death of Heather Heyer, but he has found time to take a jab at Jemele Hill. Does anyone else see a problem with this? No, just me... Ok, cool. Btw, Donnie, it's mic, not MIKE! ESPN has suspended host Jemele Hill for the next two weeks due to "a second violation of our social media guidelines." Complete and utter bs, but what else is new. Hill was critical of Jerry Jones, the Dallas Cowboys owner who recently threatened his players by saying if they disrespect the flag they will not play. Trump also in regards to Jones's statement said via Twitter, "A big salute to Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, who will Bench players who disrespect our Flag. 'Stand for A...

Melania Trump vs Ivana Trump: Will the Real First Lady Please Standup

During her interview with Good Morning America, Ivana Trump referred to herself as the "first Trump wife," therefore, the real Slim Shady First Lady, and I’m totally here for the shade. Melania’s office was quick to clapback calling it “attention seeking and self-serving noise.” Oh, this tea is just piping hot today sis. Ivana was asked if she regularly communicates with our Orange in Chief, Donald Trump. She said that she only talks to him every 2 weeks because she doesn’t want to make Melania jealous. Her exact quote was, “I’m basically first Trump wife. I’m First Lady.” Melania's spokeswoman, Stephanie Grisham response was, "Mrs. Trump has made the White House a home for Baron and the President. She loves living in Washington DC and is honored by her role as First Lady of the United States. She plans to use her title and role to help children, not sell books. There is clearly no substance to this statement from an ex.." You need some ice for tha...

Dove's New Skin Lightening Soap Line “Missed the Mark”

Dove is getting a lot of heat due to the picture featured below and I'm further convinced that black people don't work in advertising. Anyone with common sense can see what is wrong with this picture. Dove issued an apology via Twitter stating " an image we recently posted on Facebook missed the mark in representing women of color thoughtfully. We deeply regret the offense it caused." Many feel like this lackluster apology wasn't enough due to past advertisements that "missed the mark." The second picture I feel is up for interpretation but Dove is showing a little bit of a racist streak. The black woman is placed before the before picture showing dry and ashy looking skin. The white woman stands proudly in front of the after picture showing smooth, moisturized skin. A little accountability never hurts. Going forward, I suggest that Dove hires some POC's for there advertising team. Black women provide $$$ to the beauty industry annually so ...

Mike Pence Takes a Break from Conversion Therapy to Spend 5 Minutes at the Colts Game

Vice President Mike Pence left the Indiana Colts vs San Fransico 49ers game over a national anthem protest  anti-police brutality demonstration during the national anthem. He made a statement in a series of tweets that he, "left today's Colt game because @POTUS and I will not dignify any event that disrespects our soldiers, our flag, and our national anthem." Though it has been explained about a million and one times that this has literally nothing to with that he felt it was necessary to remove himself from the stadium. Even if this was a protest against the flag and national anthem I'd still be 100% for it. This is a song that literally speaks on hunting and killing slaves, but by all means... It didn't take too long for people to pick up on Pence's nefarious plot. Many are calling this a publicity stunt and I say no duh. Keep in mind this was a game against the 49ers, the same team that iced out and effectively blacklisted the man who started...

Your Friendly Neighborhood White Nationalist, Richard Spencer

Richard Spencer and about 30 or more tiki torch-wielding white nationalists went back to Emancipation Park in Charlottesville, Virginia last night. Spencer and friends gathered in front of the Robert E. Lee statue and chanted " Jews  You will not replace us," "The South will rise again; Russia is our friend,""We will be back," and my personal favorite "Harry Potter isn't real." They left after 15-20 minutes. Heather Heyer lost her life in the last series of protests and marches when a white nationalist drove his car into a group of counter-protestors. I mean I get it. Sometimes I regurgitate my food, chew it up, and swallow it again. It doesn't taste as good the second time around but I have an easier time digesting it. I figure that this protest was meant to do the same thing. Because it's on a much smaller scale I don't doubt this march will, for the most part, go somewhat ignored. What was so scary about the first few...

Coat Hanger Abortions to Make a Comeback in the Near Future

Donald Trump and his administration decided that employers have the right to exclude birth control coverage based on "a religious or moral objection." The administration also cited the certain health risks associated with certain methods of contraceptives and that they promote "risky sexual behavior" among some teenagers and young adults. This comes days after the House has effectively banned abortions after 20 weeks.  Apparently, we've forgotten about Separation of Church and State, which means that "Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion." These aren't exactly laws yet,  but an executive order is still a clear directive from the President that ultimately effects the operations of the federal government. Besides that, it royally screws 90% of women who have or will use it for pregnancy prevention or other medical reasons. I've literally been writing a screenplay about this (which you can read here ) and eve...

Rush Hour 4 is Happening, Sort of, Kind of...

Jackie Chan confirmed last night on The Cruz Show that Rush Hour 4 is happening! According to the actor, they’ve been turning down scripts for the last 7 years and they’ve finally found one that they’re willing to roll with. The news, however, comes with a catch that Chris Ticker must agree. Now I don’t ask for much but I NEED this to happen. The Culture NEEDS this to happen. I’ve heard rumors in the past that the only reason there already isn’t a Rush Hour 4, 5, and 6 is because Chris Tucker didn’t want to keep making them for what reason idk. The Rush Hours were a super successful trilogy. The first grossed nearly 141 million domestically, the second 226 million, and the third 137 million. Mr. Chris Tucker please do us negros a solid and say yes if not to just give us all some closure. It’s more than fair to say a fourth installation would make you a ridiculous amount of money. I want to give you what little money I do have for an hour and thirty minutes of bliss from my m...

Terrelle Pryor’s Multi-Million Dollar Salary Failed to Protect Him from Racist Hecklers

The Washington Redskin's Wide Reciever, Terrelle Pryor, turned heads at Arrowhead Stadium last Monday. He flipped off and cussed out hecklers after being called the n-word. I for one am positively shooketh. According to right-wing media outlets who have been critical of some of the protests happening in the sports world, black athletes are supposedly immune to America's racism because of their multi-million dollar contracts. It's clear that Terrelle's privileges did nothing to block his ear or deter fans from the stadium from using such telling language. The athlete made the following statement via social media: "Being called n*gger several times to the point where an NFL employee had to step to me and stand by me the whole game from 2nd quarter on is the exact reason why guys are kneeling during the anthem." GASP! You mean it's not because they want to kill all cops and they hate our service members?! He also added, "As I walked in the tun...

The Black Powerpuff Girl and Why I'm Convinced Black People Will Never Be Satisfied

I honestly could not have been more excited to hear that "The Powerpuff Girls" were not only getting a fourth member but that she'd be black. To put it into perspective I'm a few months shy of 22 and the first episode aired in 1998. That's like almost 18 full years of fandom. I'm pretty sure you could find my old Powerpuff Girls sheets hidden somewhere in my childhood home. NOW YOU'RE TELLING ME THAT INSTEAD OF PRETENDING I AM BLOSSOM I CAN BE BLISS?! Obsessed is putting it lightly. I was more than a little annoyed when I read some of the unnecessary criticism she got. One article in particular from Izetta Nicole of blacknerdproblems.com was the definition of overanalyzing. In her own words, "I've got pass another Black woman on the street give a head nod and smile in the key of 'what the hell kinda white nonsense is this' feelings. Here we go again feelings. I've got the 'why can't we live' blues over this sh*t......

Stella McCartney: “Cash Me Making a Profit Off of African Culture!”

Stella McCartney’s Spring 2018 Collection recently debuted and it’s clear that white people have not learned from the past mistakes of the Kardashian-Jenner Klan. These "African Auntie" inspired looks have garnered a lot of negative commentary for the obvious cultural appropriation. Here’s a hint Stella: It’s okay to be inspired by a certain culture, design, and then produce a mediocre clothing line. I ain’t mad at you for that. I’m not gonna say you need my permission to make what Black Twitter describes as clothing used to cook and pick up long-lost relatives from the airport high fashion. You may, however, want to consider hiring people from said cultures to walk in your show. Representation is everything and a necessity nowadays, the Oscars made that clear. In Stella’s defense, the appropriation of black culture is just about as overlooked and ignored as racism in America. From Taylor Swift to Rachel Dolezal to  Marc Jacobs, it seems as though apologie...
